I have heard from a few people that
it is hard to make friends at Penn because
people are not friendly or something?
Is this true?</p>

<p>Yeah, whoever thought that was pretty well off the mark...it's a very social place.</p>
<p>penn is rightfully known as the "social ivy".</p>
<p>there are a wide variety of people here at penn, and if you make the effort you'll definitely meet a lot of interesting people</p>
<p>just to clarify, "social" to a lot of penn students means going out and getting really drunk. that's something i didn't realize until i arrived.</p>
<p>I do plenty of socializing that doesn't involve getting drunk...a lot of it DOES involve chinatown, however!</p>
<p>If you are a seas student, mon to thurs, work your ass off, fri nite partying somewhere above 40th street, sat chilling with friends, and sun ready for another week of hard work.</p>
