<p>Can anyone tell me what the social scene at Xavier is like? Are there parties every weekend...is alcohol prevalent...are most of the students partiers or homebodies...etc. Thanks! I'm thinkining of going there but I don't want to be bored.</p>
<p>As a U Dayton student I have to give the obligatory “BOOOOOOO XU” before saying anything else.</p>
<p>Xavier isn’t really known as a party school but if you make very social friends, you’ll be able to find parties. I have a few friends who go there, some stay in every weekend and one is very friendly with the basketball team and goes to parties with them a lot. It’s not uncommon to find either type of people. XU is not really in a very safe area of Cincy (although there are much, much worse places) and I know several people who have been mugged just off campus. Drunken stumbling + getting robbed does not a happy party-goer make.</p>
<p>Of course, if you went to UD you would never be bored… 
Parties every weekend and incredibly friendly people. Great scholarship money too, if you have high stats. IMO there isn’t a better place in the world.</p>
<p>Very interesting to hear…haha I actuallly think I might look into U Dayton. Do you know how close it is to XU?</p>
<p>Dayton is about 1 hour north of Cincinnati, just head north on I-75. The CC page for UD is fairly active and I post there a lot.
