Social Life without Frat

I've heard a lot of people say that you need to be in a frat to have a social life. Are there a lot of parties off the row and can guys go to frat parties if they aren't a member? Thanks!

Although I’m only still a freshman here, it’s pretty easy to say that it’ll be difficult to get into frat parties if you’re not a member. If the party is registered and you know a member of the frat, then you can get in. However, there are still a ton of other places to go to have a good time. Sometimes sports teams throw parties, the ski team has a pretty sweet setup…if you just look around there is almost always something going on that you can go to without “knowing someone” who’s there. Hope that helps!

BTW - I know of a number of students, including my own, who have a robust social life without being in the Greek system. Some attend those parties, but for the most part, Greek life is not the ONLY life on a college campus. Or the only parties.
