<p>What's the MIT social life like? Is there lots of drinking? Are the clubs strict on ID..like would a fake work? What are the parties like? How often are they? Are lots of people veryy...party oriented? I have always had a good balance of partying and studying so I'm curious! Thank you!!</p>

<p>I’m sure there’ll be some partying (not as heavy as ASU or U Miami) but you don’t go to MIT just to party.</p>
<p>Yeah of couse that’s not why i’d go there. But obviously mit has incredible academics I’m just curious about the social scene.</p>

<p>There are a lot of different ways to have a social life at MIT. One of them is certainly to attend lots of frat parties, where there is a lot of alcohol. Of course, there are also many different frats, and they have different types of parties. </p>
<p>You’ll definitely be able to find plenty of people at MIT to whom the idea of partying at frats every weekend is very appealing. Of course, there are other types of people at MIT who choose to have very different social lives.</p>
<p>People don’t generally go to clubs, although over-21s do go to bars. It’s more common to go to a frat with friends than to go to a club.</p>
