social life

<p>I haven't posted in this part of the forum in a while, but I just wanted to make this clear. There IS a social life at ucsd. </p>

<p>According to urban dictionary, ucsd sucks, but let's think about it. People that post on urban dictionary usually have alot of free time: nerds. If your not having fun, then your simply not trying hard enough.</p>

<p>My friends in the top house frat at SDSU say the same thing I, a UCSD guy, say, "it's what you make of it."</p>

<p>Don't let the "non-existent" social life stop you from coming to a good school.</p>

<p>People always ask me where i'm transferring to next year and I say "UCSD", to which they reply, "Oh San Diego State, Good for you!"</p>

<p>Then I ask them if their mother drank while they were in the womb. </p>

<p>I honestly wouldn't pass up the opportunity to go to UCSD with a so-so "social scene" than to go to SDSU and have that party scene stigma surrounding my degree. It's all what you make of it, and living off-campus in Pacific Beach next year is definitely making something of it, to me at least.</p>

<p>Notice how almost all the negative UCSD definitions on urbandictionary are posted by SDSU kids.</p>

<p>dude there's soo much stuff to do here all the time. people are just lazy and expect everything to drop on their lap. </p>

<p>get out there, get some flyers, read your weekly events emails, ask your RAs about stuff going on every week.</p>
