How's the social life at Northeastern University?

I'm just assuming you mean partying... although since you live essentially with your friends in college, a lot of social life also takes place just hanging around your dorm/apartment, going to the library, going out to lunch, movies, etc.

As far as the partying, there are plenty of parties going on and I can always find something to do on a weekend. There aren't really classic "house parties" since we have pretty limited space, so it's mostly apartment get-togethers of 20-30 people. There's a great nightlife in Boston and a lot of bars in the area, so once people are 21 (or have a really, really good fake) they mostly go out to bars. Overall though, the social scene is good, a lot of people go out thursday, friday, and saturday and there are lots of options.

Outside of weekend nights, mostly people just hang out with small groups of friends. I like to go into the city a lot, go running, go to the gym. My roommate is a neuroscience major and a big part of her social life during the day is at the library, she'll go with a group of friends and kind of gossip/go over schoolwork for a few hours. Mostly depends on your hobbies, motivation, and workload.

Frats at northeastern aren't as big as on some other campuses, and it really depends on who you know. Very often, the frat parties fill up quickly and don't let anyone else in.

Nearly all of Boston checks IDs a lot, and they are very good at spotting fakes. Since a lot of the people in Boston are college students, they know that there are going to be a lot of kids under 21, so they are really strict.

If you are in a suite-style dorm, there are typically a lot of parties, although it really depends on the kinds of people you hang with.
