<p>There, I brought it up. For some reason, nobody ever talked about this.</p>

<p>By social life, I mean how cliquey a boarding school is. Cattiness, too. And are there often parties? Are there outcasts with no friends? Do all the students of a certain race hang out with just each other, often? Are people still striving for popularity like people do at public schools? Level of snobbiness? Is there barely any time for hanging out?</p>

<p>Answers from people who go to a prep school would be great. Or if you visited some schools, tell us about how you felt.</p>

<p>Or is everyone so mature they end up being really polite to people they don’t know? Do people get reputations quickly? Is there a lot of gossip/a rumor mill? </p>

<p>ps: just speculation, if you’re deadset on exeter seriously go for it and ignore me… i’m just saying what i heard.
alsoooo, if any of you remember theamazingjasmyn from last year… she’s a real person! wow i’m shocked… i wonder if she’s pulled out a hair straightener in class yet.</p>

<p>Well at exeter first of all there’s prep posse which is basically the “popular group”. There’s also asian mafia which is pretty much just a big asian clique. Apparently the asian mafia this year is way bigger than it was in previous years. Also there are some smaller groups but there are also a lot of people who have friends in a lot of different groups so they aren’t just stuck in the clique.</p>

<p>Really? For some reason I was starting to get the impressions that ALL boarding schools (not just Exeter) didn’t have any cliques.
Ha Ha Ha I have heard of theamazingjasmyn from looking at old posts. Seems like she was a ■■■■■. I saw one of the extra accounts she got on the Master Acceptances 2009 thread. It was so wierd becasue somebody posted where she got accepted (Exeter) and it was this random person who’s name said they were somebody’s mom…</p>
