Social Opportunities for UCI Transfers?

<p>My intent on posting this thread is to find out what my social life would be like as a Junior Transfer to UCI. I am 2nd year at UCLA right now and I am really set on transferring to UCI. but I am worried that I won't be able to meet many friends as a transfer.</p>

<p>Something i want to focus on is Greek Life. I hear that it is very important at UCI, but I am set on not joining a frat. I joined one at UCLA and it just wasnt my thing. Are there any other ways to meet people as a transfer? I am not good enough to join a club sport or anything, but I am into surfing, snowboarding, music, etc. Are there ways to meet people through these interests?</p>

<p>I believe there is a transfer house in Arroyo Vista you can look into. I think everyone in that hall is a transfer, but I think it may be too late to apply.</p>
