<p>I just went on a tour at Emory but all the kids were on spring break so i didnt get a feel of the social scene/greek life/student body. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me what Emory is like. I heard somewhere that theres not much of a party scene and I want to know if this is the case.</p>
<p>I live about 35 minutes away from Emory and have visited the campus several times so I can tell you that . . .
Yes the social life is rather tame (lame??maybe)
They do have a half-hearted greek life thing going
No football
Good at lacrosse and soccer from what I've heard
15-20 minutes away from Lenox (nice shopping, restaurants etc.)
Very close to the heart of mid-town (music, cute little shopping villages etc.)</p>
<p>But . . . it is a rather preppy looking student body
(lots of brand name purses that could feed a country)</p>
<p>emory seems to have a lot of fun events. they have an official clubbing night and stuff.</p>
