How would you all, who have spent considerable amounts of time at these schools, describe the social scene in general. I know its a rather vague question with many possible answers, but I'm talking about like what the social pulse of each campus is like. Is the party scene more of a social gathering atmosphere, more of an all out party come stumbling back the the dorm room at 4am, or anywhere in between. I know the locations of these schools are very different, but I have heard similar things about the type of social life at each respective campus and would be interested in the major differences that may exist between them.

Other than the few kids I know in the scramble bands at each of these schools, I don't know anyone who's spent considerable amounts of time at all of these schools.

Read ivygateblog for awhile. It'll give you a decent picture of ivy social life.

I've been at Princeton for many a weekend.

The most distinguishable thing about Princeton's social scene is that most kids there are DESPERATE for visitors/outsiders to think they have an awesome social life. It's like really, really weird.

In reality the social scene sort of sucks, but it's not deplorable. The eating clubs often offer non-exclusive parties. It's just weird; whenever someone there finds out I don't actually go to Princeton, I find the topic of conversation turning to how wasted they got last weekend and how much fun they had doing it and how crazy their parties are. But from what I've witnessed if you are going to college with the intention of having a good party scene, Princeton is not the place you want to go.

I've never even been to Yale, but I hear its social scene is pretty good.

Penn's is great too. There are enough frats that there are parties every Thursday-Saturday, and many times during other days of the week. Definitely a reason I came here. It's the social ivy, after all.

I've heard the girls at Penn are weak. True?

edit: i probably just instigated a flame, but ive heard things so im curious

hahaha.

In general, the higher the average SAT score of the incoming class, the lower the average score out of 10.

QO: I wouldn't say the girls at Penn, Princeton, or Yale are measurably different (though if you're Jewish, Penn is probably better)

How about if you're not Jewish and you're not into Jewish girls

then i hope you like asians.

damn... lol

Jews

Penn is good for Asian girls?

^^ well there's a lot of them?

Penn's like 80% Jewish, 90% Asian.

It's also 99% ugly (see: mattwonder).

so theres like 20 guys around every hot girl at penn, but otherwise
u have to go to villanova to pick up decent chicks

haha Penn sounds awesome.

Come on people. I've been to many other schools, and you guys don't know how good you have it. There aren't too many drop dead gorgeous supermodel type ones, but there are definitely more than enough good looking and cute girls to go around, Asians especially. I'm very happy I go to Penn and so far I have never had any reason to complain about the social life here.

what about hot guys?
and whats the guy/girl ratio?

guy-girl ratio is about 1:1.
the penn guys i know are hideous. penn girls (myself included) aren't bad at all.
personally, i'm planning on fishing one from haverford or swarthmore.
