Alumni and Princeton wannabees who have too much time on thier hands, please tell me all the itty-gritty details.;):p

I'll just answer #3. Most people say Princeton is one of those "Work Hard, Party Hard" kinda college. And if you happen to not like alcohol....yea i know who am i kiddin'... you don't need to drink and you won't feel left out...

I'm kinda curious about #5 myself... anyone?

Supposedly

Enough

Not unheard of

Bon chance

No

Oh yes

I fail to see how that relates to the social scene. Yes, there is rather a lot of security, but they hardly ever drop by for a drink.

hobbes, if your comment about the excessive amount of hot girls is true, you have just swayed my decision fully towards Princeton. Very nice ...

Just to confirm hobbes earlier assessment, there are definitely plenty good-looking girls at Princeton. In fact, the depth of quality is stacked like one would find at a state Californian school.

Do a lot of kids date? (as in, not just random hook-ups... lol). I mean, i know kids are busy, but i don't really want to go through four years of college without having a boyfriend at one point...

Wow, we both deleted our posts in the realization that they may be offensive! Luckily, I got your reply in my email :P And don't worry, I have "puppy dog eyes."

Campus security is lax about parties and alcohol. The only time they will come in and stop a party is if there is a noise complaint. Usually, if you just promise to keep it down afterwards they won't bother you again. Campus police absolutely forbids carrying alcohol in open containers in public. Do not carry beer out from the eating clubs or room parties, or you will get into trouble.

Other than that, the only other time they interfere is occassionally checking your ID when they see you carrying a bag full of booze around campus.

Anyone who thinks he/she willl get by socially without drinking in college has either never been in college or is delusional. You realize that at schools like Princeton (non-urban), roughly 90% of the student body drinks?
