Social Scene: Berkeley vs USC

Hi,

Could somebody detail the social scene (general vibe, greek life) at USC and Berkeley?

USC has a dominant greek scene. If you’re in a frat or a girl, you will see heaven (here’s a taste: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCRic5T04es ). Unfortunately, there are very limited alternatives.

Berkeley has a decent greek scene but nowhere near that of USC. House parties are much better, and the town has a lot more nearby options. The Mad Decent Block Party is also a legendary event that just so happens to swing through.

Bottomline: Parties at USC can be the best anywhere but guys experience a lot of red tape. Berkeley is less hardcore, but more accessible.
