I know Dukies are probably sick of hearing ppl talk and ask questions about whether it is true that duke students tend to segregate themselves within race or social class...I'm sure there's a post talking about this but I would like to know more about it (and just the social scene in general, such as parties and greek life and clubs etc)..

hey, when i went to my interview, i asked the interviewer if this was a problem n he said that duke is a very progressive school. He said that the stereotype is wrong and the social scene is very open to everybody. Might be a lil biasied but i believe him.

this has been a common misconception about duke for a long time. it really isn't a problem at duke. its such a diverse campus that its almost impossible NOT to be integrated. just walk into the dining halls and look around, different people are sitting with different people. duke has been a progressive school to the point that it really isn't an issue now.
