Are the majority of people at BC caucasian? According to college board only 10% are asian american, 1% American Indian/Alaskan Native, 7% Black/Non-Hispanic, 8% Hispanic. The percentage of minorities is relatively small, I think, compared to other colleges. I really like variety in terms of culture.

What kind of music do people prefer? I personally prefer hiphop/rnb to rock, but my white friends prefer rock.

I’m def a party person, I love clubbing, but I also expend a lot of energy studying. I’m looking for a workhard partyhard mentality. Does this describe BC?

Thanks~

I'm going to BC next year, but I've been there enough to answer at least part of your questions.
1. yes, the marjority are caucasian, but thats not to say that its a bad or good thing, its just a fact. There are minorities though, and the minority student groups are very strong and active on campus.
2. I think its diverse enough that people listen to anything. There are some people who prefer hiphop/r&b and there will be some that prefer rock, and hell im even sure there will be some that perfer country. But if your talking about parties and stuff most of the music I would assume would be "party music" and judging from your questions I think you know what I mean.
3. This is exactly what BC is, well for me at least. From what I see and what I experienced while I was there, students hit the books but also party hard as well. Like always, there will some that choose that partying isn't for them and thats their choice and they still can have alot of fun especially in a city like Boston. But I would definitely describe BC as a work hard play hard type of school.
If you have any other questions PM me

Hmm. Current BC student (sophomore and AHANA). If you want diversity and culture, go elsewhere.

:( Uh oh. That doesn't sound good. By the way thanks adeazy.

There are alot of cultural organizations on this campus, but at the same time, I feel like the majority of students only know us for our entertainment events. It's frustrating when people think that AHANA is a club. It's not, and people aren't necessarily open to wanting to know the history of it. Not all people on campus are like that though, but for the most part, the ones that I've encountered are.

Oh, and to answer your other questions, alot of people on this campus are into Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, and whoever is popular at the moment, like Kanye West.

A work hard party hard mentality is definitely present on campus. You rarely see something going on during the week, but weekends here usually start on Thursday. Then, everyone is back to the grind on Sunday.
