<p>How are the parties and stuff at NYU? I know NYC is ur backyard but does NYU still have dorm parties and stuff jus like drinking dancing and hanging out?</p>

<p>I'm not a student there, but I don't think there are as many parties in dorms and stuff as there is everywhere else. There is no real campus to party in, but there are bars around that cater to NYU students.</p>

<p>yes. to the second part, esp. in the first couple weeks and towards the end of the year - people want to get to know each other/going away parties</p>
<p>to the first part, it depends, like anything else.</p>
<p>It depends...freshmen year its kind of hard to have partys since your dorms are pretty small, usually its more of pre-game parties. There are frat parties and such you'll be invited to, and maybe beer pong or bday parties in dorms...but for the most part its bars and clubs. As nightboy said, most of the dorm parties will be in the end or beginning of the year.</p>
