How is the social scene at Northwestern? Honestly, any good looking girls and guys? How often do you interact with other schools near Chicago?
There are attractive people at every school. We don’t really interact with other schools.
As with anywhere, the social scene is what you make of it. You can go to frat parties multiple days a week, make friends with people who just want to stay inside and talk and/or watch stuff, or go into the city or out into the suburbs on adventures with other people, depending on what you want to have happen. That being said, I’ve heard that, compared to other schools, the party scene at NU is relatively tame, though I have no evidence or anything to back that up. Also, some people focus on schoolwork all seven days a week and only spend a couple of hours on the weekend relaxing if any time at all, so sometimes it can be tough to get your friends to go out and do stuff with you.
There are plenty of good-looking people.
I have one friend from DePaul. Otherwise, the only people I interact with from other schools are visiting friends of my friends from other universities that are usually on the semester system, which allows those other schools’ students to visit NU during the misalgned breaks.
Greek life goes a bunch to UIUC, Chicago, occasionally UIC.
Party scene is better than other schools of comparable academic calibre.
