<p>What's the social scene like at Rice? </p>
<p>I heard it was kind of nerdy? is that true? Being a sports ardent (although academics is still by far my main priority), would i fit in well?</p>
<p>Like anywhere, there are plenty of sports fans. And we have some good sports teams too, baseball, track, tennis.</p>
<p>I read once that something like 90% of Rice students play an intramural sport while at Rice. I don't know if it's in fact that high, but lots of people do get involved. Also, if you want to play intramural sports, you don't have to be good or experienced, which is kind of nice. I assumed I'd never play an intramural sport in college, but lo and behold, I played soccer last spring and plan to play again this year.</p>
