I'm an alternate and my alternate rank is 23. Is there any chance of me still getting in?

“If your status is Alternate, log back in each week between Wednesday and Saturday to check your status, and be prepared to accept promptly if it changes to Invited. Typically, quite a few spaces become available between May and August and are offered to students on the alternate list the following week. If you no longer wish to remain on the alternate list for a particular Living-Learning Community, click on ‘Decline’.”

Thar came directly from their website when you log in but I would say your chance would be 50 50 it all depends…if students have declined the invitation and it may give you somewhat of a chance but it all depends because I know social science and public affairs is the most difficult to get in only 38 get in and the likelihood that 23 or 22 will give up there spot…yea thats not too pretty

But you never know

Are you willing to wait a couple of months to get the spot or are you better off getting another dorm or llc it all depends

Is this your first choice?

Yes, this LLC was my first choice. I am now alternate #12, however… I am not sure whether or not I would want to choose Degraff (where this LLC is) over Landis Hall.

My priority number is high, so I probably won’t end up in Landis… but I’m still hoping to get in.

were you invited to the honors program?? and what’s your priority number…if you are then you have first priority in getting into the honors dorm in landis but obly to a certain point…if not then the likelyhood is slim and most likely your chance will be better off with the living learning community 23 to 12 is not bad so the chance is higher

Yes, I was invited into the honors program. My priority number is about 2100, so… I mean, I don’t know how many dorms are available in Landis. If not, I would end up in Gilchrist (which is, as you know, half-honors and half-non.)

I will probably be better off in a llc. I’m smart, but I don’t like studying 24/7 and I worry that those might be the people living in the honors dorm.
