social science degrees not marketable in the job market??

Im currently an incoming sophomore at a top 20 university thinking of majoring in anthro. The problem is I do not believe I could get a good job with an anthro degree- im a minority female, my GPA is (relatively) low, I don’t think I’m that sociable and charming, and I have no connections. Well, maybe I could get a good job but it wld be really hard and it’d take a lot more interviews and resume submitions than the avg college graduate. I’ve been stressing out all summer over what to major in.

Should I give up my anthro major and study something more practical like math or econ? or maybe double major in finance? I keep hearing that comp sci is the best major to have so shld I double major in that?

No. You can get a job with an anthropology major. You don’t have to be any more charming and sociable than any other major; what you need are internships and to develop skills that will be in-demand by employers.

You can double major in CS if you are actually interested in CS and using the kinds of skills CS majors use. It can be a really useful additional major, if you are interested. So could math or econ.
