<p>Currently I am a junior by the end of the year I will have 2.5 yrs of social studies. Is that fine for non ivies? I am doing my schedule for next year right now and can not fit in another semester of social studies.</p>

<p>Most schools require three but it is recommended that you have 4 (though it isn’t as critical as having, say, 4 years of English or Math.)</p>

<p>Like another poster said - what are you counting as SS classes? You might be skipping some. Count History, Economics, Government, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, Archeology, International Relations, Current Issues, etc. a lot of people only count history and forget all those other classes.</p>
