Social Security # Missing

Hmmm....I know that some colleges supress the ss# on the print preview. However, when dd and I print previewed the application for our state flagship, it did not have this statement, but the ss# was not there, either. Should I be concerned? Is this just a case of them just forgetting to put the disclaimer? We double-checked, and her ss# is on the application, just not on the print preview. thanks.

Is it missing on the main application or the supplement?

The main application. She wants to submit online, but as a precaution we checked the print preview in addition to checking over the regular online application. Her SS# is on the main online application, but it is missing from the print preview. I know one of her other schools specifically said they don’t collect the ss# from the application, so it did not concern us that the info was missing from the print preview of that particular school. However, the school we are concerned about (UCONN) does not have that disclaimer anywhere that we can see. I think I should probably also post this question on the UCONN forum, too.

I think schools have the option on whether or not her SS would be suppressed on the supplement, but I think it’s automatically suppressed on the main application

Actually, I just previewed mine and it was on the preview of the main application. Did you save the application after you entered the SS and before you previewed it?

Yup, it was saved before we checked it. Since yours showed up, I think I’m going to have to call them before submitting. She already sent the application fee and supplement in.Thanks for checking on your own app, btw. Just curious from your screen name–do you happen to attend hs in a town that starts with “T”? (Although I imagine there are lots of Raiders around.)

Glad I could help, and no, not a “T” :)

Very strange. It’s showing up now. She’s good to go.

Glad it worked out :)
