Social Theory

I posted on the grad school sub-forum about my interest in Critical Social Theory and asking what are some related master programs, since it deals with a lot of subjects. However, it's not a very well known school of thought and I didn't get any response. But the reason I want a masters is for a job, so I guess I'll post here.

I'm majoring in philosophy with a minor in social sciences (politics, sociology, psychology). In terms of work, I would like to work with either helping people or helping organizations be productive in attaining a positive goal. I know this might seem idealistic and other such words may be attached to it, but it's something I'm attracted to. I was thinking about Social Worker, but I'm not entirely sure if this is what I want. I would think I would want some indepence where I can contribute more adequately without the burden of having to work around a preconceived condition.

So I'm looking for some jobs that deal society as a whole and an individual and that affect both directly. As opposed to indirectly like Marketing or something sales. Maybe jobs similar to social work or something different.
