Sociedad Honoraria Hisp

Greetings. I'm trying to get together ideas for enthralling field trips and fundraisers for my high school Spanish Honor Society next year, but am at a total loss. :-[
This is what I have so far:
*Tutor other students
*Foreign Language week
*Christmas ornaments for local retirement home that bear a Hispanic theme

Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated :-)

Gracias!

Sing songs in Spanish? Um, teach elementary school kids Spanish? Have a Spanish food party?

Those are excellent ideas! Unfortunately other clubs at my school have already pursued those activities (with an exception of the singing).
Thanks anyway :-]

chalupas from tacobell ftw

cheesy gordida crunch from taco bell ftw

crunch wrap supreme from tacobell ftw

number 3 no tomatoes from tacobell ftw

2 soft tacos and 2 chicken strips from colonel sanchez ftw (the tacobell/kfc combined)

1 burrito from chipotle ftw

act out a play entirely in Spanish and videotape it with subtitles? Post it on youtube too? =P

Thank you, TomHirschfeld.
:-)

Hm...good thinking, Woami. Very original.

Go to a Spanish movie/drama production

Go to a Spanish restaurant

Go to a Spanish fair/carnival

Make some paper mache pinatas and donate to a school or foster home. I also have noticed several all Spanish speaking churches in our area and would think a food drive/clothes drive for the lower income attenders would be appreciated.

hold monthly taco and burrito contests to see who can eat the most and whoever wins gets the $$$.

Go to Chipotle.

Protest outside Qdoba? =/

My Spanish Club always goes Christmas Caroling around town in Spanish, and then we go back to the school and have snacks, and we have a pi

Thanks everyone for your great ideas! I will definitely inform my adviser of them.

What state do you live in? Last year we adopted Latino families in Detroit to give presents to for Christmas. Over 50 families or something ridiculous like that got almost everything they wanted. Could you try to do something like that? It's great for both hearing native Spanish and for doing something great for the community =].

Well I'm certainly not going to help if you address me as tu and not Ud. Geez, not even a por favor after ayudame? Haha jk :)

I think a really fun idea would be to drop kids off at a Spanish market or something, their task being to purchase certain items. Obviously they would have to speak in Spanish.
