Society of Engineers in Medicine

Since there are so many ChemE majors who are premed, I’m guessing that this group has been newly formed (I hadn’t heard about it until today).

Society of Engineers In Medicine -

Is your D applying to med school? PA program? what?

My son has gone to some meetings, but it is primarily premeds, not engineering focused. Seems to be a lot of girls in it, too, like everything else at Bama. I would definitely recommend joining it if your child is premed, though. They have done a lot of field trips to medical facilities, like the radiology department at DCH, and even went up to UAB med school.

Thanks for the info, I don’t think my dd joined, but I am going to pass the I info to her, as she is a Chem Engr/pre-med!
