This is such a ridiculous statement. Don’t major in something because it’s easy…if you have this kind of mentality I’m sure it will be quite the contrary for you. I’m a soc major and the course work gets progressively harder. Unfortunately it’s pegged as an easy major because most of the time into or 100 level classes do consist of easy, common sense material. 300 and 400 level courses require much more original thought, research, critical thinking, and the application of statistics. No offence, but maybe you should look into other majors or forgo university altogether if this is your determining factor in your major choice.
I think you misunderstood him. He never said he was majoring in Sociology because it was easy. He said he wants to major in it. He’s just worried about getting into UCLA as a Sociology major.</p>
