Sociology Major In Danger of Getting a "D" in Calculus 1

So here is my situation...

At the beginning of last semester I was a Computer Science major so I began taking the classes required to transfer to a UC. I had to withdraw from Calculus 1 last semester because I had 18 units including CS, Physics, and Calc. Long story short, I'm currently in Calc 1 this semester but half way through I decided CS is not for me and I switched my major to the classes that I have truly enjoyed all throughout college, Sociology.

Here I am the week of finals in danger of getting a D in Calc. If I get this D should I retake it a third time? I already have fulfilled my Math requirement for IGETC and obviously I don't need Calc for Sociology. Aside from hurting my GPA, will keeping this D on my transcripts hurt my admission to UCs? Thanks!

You should have taken a W when you switched majors, i wouldn’t bother retaking it. Did you apply as a sociology major? TAG? Whats your UC GPA? honestly if your gpa is high (3.5) enough after this semester, I dont think Davis will reject you for a calc class considering you’re a sociology major.
