What are the fundamental differences between each major? Does one require more lab hours than the other? Or more write-ups? Etc...I'm asking on this site because different universities have different requirements and curriculum, so I want to know what Rutgers' Sociology and Anthropology majors are like.
I don't think I'll double major because I want to minor in another field, so it has to be one or the other.

I know this might be really lazy but here are links to information regarding the core requirements and credits needed to complete the majors:

[Rutgers Sociology - Undergraduate Program Information](http://sociology.rutgers.edu/ugradprograminfo.html#major)
There are a total of 11 courses needed to complete the major (36 credits): 4 core courses, which includes 1 introductory class + 3 four-credit courses. The last 21 credits are 7 elective courses

[Rutgers, SAS Anthropology: - Undergrad Program](<a href=“Rutgers University :: Department of Anthropology”>Page cannot be found)
There are three majors offered in the anthropology departments: (1) Cultural Anthropology (38 credits) (2) Evolutionary anthropology (50 credits!) (3) Anthropology (40 credits)

There are four introductory courses that you are required to take for a B.A. in anthropology. And if you are planning to go for B.A. in Evolutionary Anthropology, you are required to take a statistics course and either 2 biology or 2 geology course. For biology, there are two required courses – 101 and 102. For geology, you need to take the introduction class and a separate lab class.

If you plan to major in one of the anthropology majors, I HIGHLY suggest you meet with an adviser during your freshman year to talk about the program and what courses you plan to take (especially if you plan on taking the “Evolutionary” route)
