I've seen a lot of discussion about soft factors in other threads and wanted to ask people about the race factor. I know some people say race doesn't matter etc, but I'v heard a lot of people say quite the opposite. I am Latina and was just wondering if in all of your experiences you've found that your race can help you get into a better law school than your scores and GPA would predict.

Nobody sensible says that. Race matters. A lot.

In your case you're going to have to be more specific. Apparently Mexicans and Puerto Ricans get a much better boost, than, say, Argentines, Chileans or Spaniards.

..or especially Cubans.

Well, I am from the Dominican Republic. I'm first generation American. But that's interesting that certain groups get more of a boost than others. Hmmm....never thought about that.

does being Cuban help at all???
