Software at IU?

I'm going to be a freshman at IUB this year, bringing a laptop. I've heard that you can download the software off of the school website for free, is that at all true? That seems too good to be true to me. I think I got that in a flyer or something, but I could be wrong. If you're a student, how did you get your software and do you have a link I could use for more information on downloading software? I'm a DA to Kelley so I would need all the business applications and such.
Thanks

I’m interested in getting the software too (getting a new Macbook Pro this week) but I’ve tried and we can’t yet, so we have to wait until the fall or until they change our status in the system to current students. (Maybe before orientation, because that would allow us to register for classes)

Once you register for classes, you can download everything. I use IUWare a lot, it’s a great program. I’ve downloaded Microsoft Office for my MacBook, Adobe Creative Suite, and a few other small programs at no cost. And if you want the physical CDs of the software, they normally run about $20 on campus (which I bought for my little brother when he got his MacBook and wanted lots of cool video editing software).

Haha it’s definitely not too good to be true, most of the software is completely free. :]

Yea, this is pretty useful.

Can you download these programs multiple times with the same IU account on different computers?

The software is intended to be for the use of students enrolled at IU. ow many computers do you have?

thank you guys!
