<p>Hey, my family and I are planning to install a solar panel system on our cabin near our local lake. As i'm interested in electrical engineering and going to MIT, I 'm wondering if mentioning the solar panel project would have weight come admissons time or whether it's a garbage E.C. that I should keep to myself.?</p>
<p>People stamp YAUBSLP (Yet Another Uninspiring Biology Summer Lab Project) the first chance they get onto their resume, and you’re asking if this is garbage? Quite the opposite, this is great!</p>
<p>You should talk about it. Doing stuff during high school (or rather, outside of high school) related to what you want to do in college shows your enthusiasm for the subject.</p>
<p>Sounds good to me. Look around this site at some of the <em>other</em> things people stamp onto their applications thinking they are terrific ECs. Yours is interesting and relevant.</p>
