Solid, 'mid-tier' or 'mid-high' schools/Chances?

Considering the extremely low chances of my acceptance as an Asian 11th grader applying for FA, I think it would be necessary to venture beyond of GLADCHEMMS and look for one safety, and a mid or mid-to-high tier school where my chances are solid. My most recent SAT score was a 2010, and I scored an 80 in CR on the PSAT which I plan on submitting, my recs are excellent(except that of my counselor -_-), my interviews have exceedingly well, and my essays accurately reflect myself as a person who would thrive at boarding school coming in so late, my drive and initiative, my quirkiness, and my aptitude in the humanities and social sciences. My stats are good but not outstanding, with solid A or A- grades, one leadership position, an internship with a senator, a substantial list of extracurriculars, and no sports/music related activities as so many applicants have. However, I hope that my passion, character and interest in the humanities as an Asian will help offset some of my lack statistically. I come from a lower income family and am the first from both my school and family to apply to boarding school, which I also hope will endear myself to the schools. I hope that my essay and interview will be endearing enough to make me admitable, especially at Andover. How are my chances at some of the reach GLADCHEMMS schools, and especially Andover, with such statistics, and what mid or mid to high tier schools would you recommend which would give decent financial aid?

I think your chances are good, depending on the schools. The recommendations are really important, I’ve heard.
