Flame Tests
Flame Colors

nice link on the flame tests anhtimmy, but the flame colors one doesn't seem to be a valid link- could you repost t?
Also do these relate to the colors that they are when just in solution, not when they are burning? Does anybody have a link to colors in solution?

sodium-yellow?
lithium-red?
potassium-violet?

those are the flame test colors that i remember..idk if they translate into solution colors though..

If you don't want a lot to memorize, PR lists what they deem to be the six most commmon ions and their flame colors, again I dont know how this applies to solutions
Red: Lithium, Strontium
Orange: Calcium
Yellow: Sodium
Green: Barium, Copper
Violet: Potassium

for those curious this was in the answer explanation for question 32 of practice test 3

Flame Colors
should work now
