<p>I have three things to say on this subject.</p>

<p>Learning a variety of things helps one be a better person.</p>

<p>Many of you who are commenting here in support of education aren’t using proper grammar, spelling, or punctuation. That tells me a lot.</p>

<p>And CIEE83 wrote, “… all the emphasis is on learning how to write in-class essays to pass standardized tests ….”
The reason for this is the No Child Left Behind law.</p>
