Solving Rational Equations

Could anyone help me solve these rational equations, I am studying for the math Sat II. Also, in number 3) the 5 is seperate from the fraction. Also in number 4) the 3 is seperate from the fraction. Thanks.

1) 3/x - 2/x+1 = 4/x

2) 2x/x+3 - 5 = 1/x+3

3) 4/x - 1/x+2 = 2/x

4) 5x/x-1 - 3 = 2x+5/x²-1

5) 2x/x-2 - 4x-1/3x+2 = 17x+4/3x²-4x-4

6) x - 24/x = 5

1) -1/3
2) -16/3
3)-4
4) I f-ed it up on first try... don't feel like doing it again
5)-1 and 3
6) 8

6) 8 or - 3

Thanks for the help. Do you think you can explain how you got number 2??? Thanks.

2) 2x/x+3 - 5 = 1/x+3

REARRANGE: 2x/x+3 - 1/x+3 = 5

COMBINE LIKE TERMS: 2x-1/x+3 = 5

CROSS MULTIPLY: 5x+15 = 2x - 1

SOLVE FOR X: X = -16/3
