Some Advice

Hi,

I’m a student a csu. I’m a physics major. My overall GPA 2.5. My current courses for spring are computer science physics physics lab and calculus 3. I pretty much failed this quarter. This is my second year there and I was a transfer. So, that means I am a senior. I have taken calculus 3 two times and have failed it again this third time around. I was doing fine in my physics class but test grades brought that down. I received an F in the class. My college gpa will fall under a 2.0. I will be dropped from my classes that I was planning to take. I was wondering if I should continue with studying physics. Or even at this school. It was not my first choice to transfer to or the first choice major. Which already gave me a dislike for this major going in my first day. I have been told numerous times from my advisors to change my major but I knew I wasn’t trying hard enough like I was in community college. In community college I had a 3.0 gpa and giving my life to school. Ever since i transferred i stop putting in hours and time to school. I feel like dropping out and starting all over again a community college. My first choice was civil engineering and csula. I’m lost. My financial aid will be affected and everything else. If I continue with physics I’ll be unhappy and discourage and embarrassed to continue when all my friends are moving on. I just don’t know what to do. Any advice will be helpful. Excuse my grammar.

Thanks,
CC

Why in heavens are you in a major you don’t like. Get out immediately and figure out what kind of major you are suited for and you actually like. My suspicion is that engineering is out of the question now and you clearly did not get into it when you transferred. The fact that you cannot pass Calculus III is telling you something…
