I am currently choosing between Georgetown and University of Chicago. How is the English Department at Georgetown? I know it's one of the smaller departments but I don't know much else. I want to be a critic, possibly go into publishing. I want to make sure I'll be getting the best education between these two but still love the college experience.
Thanks so much.

I think you’ll be better off in UChicago - Georgetown isn’t particularly great in any subject except for Politics and Business. Besides, UChicago is well known for its strength in the humanities and literature, and if you want to be a critic then the UChicago atmosphere would probably suit you a lot more than Georgetown’s more pre-professional one…i do think UChicago is a better fit for you as long as you’re not doing politics.
