Some advise please

I applied for MIT freshman admission and was rejected. I'm now a sophomore at my college.

HS GPA : 3.95 / 4.0

Currently at college, my GPA is about ~3.0. I'm willing to apply in Fall 2013 as transfer.I'm expecting my college GPA to be about 3.2 - 3.4 at the most. But I have some credits from dual enrollment and also currently from a community college. In both of them I have 4.0 GPA. My SAT subject tests were decent, MATH II - 740 and PHYSICS 720.

I'm applying to MIT in Fall 2013, so I'm gearing up for taking the SAT again. Apart from these, the rest of my application is OK.

So please advice me that within this time can I do anything to improve my academics ?Is my application worth a second look if not rejected the first time :(

Hello please someone reply

3.0 is really low :-/

Getting into MIT as a transfer student is ridiculously hard.

^ So am I doomed with one of my transcripts having 3.0 while other two having 4.0 ?

cough :stuck_out_tongue: cough

To be honest, if you can’t even do well at your current college, why are you even applying to MIT as a transfer? Not to burst your bubble, but your chance at acceptance is very low. Also, I am hesitant that MIT will accept an applicant who doesn’t know the difference between “advise” and “advice”.

^ Hehehe
thx for the input guys :)
