<p>I have heard some people already received acceptances from UC San Diego. Is this only early decision or does San Diego do rolling admissions? It's freaking me out!</p>
<p>msa5678: You may have been mistaken about admits from UCSD. San Diego State has already sent some acceptances this month. For UCSD, the earliest I heard was Late Feb/Early March for URM students. Last year my oldest son applied and didn’t hear until Mid March.
The earliest he heard from any UC was Feb for UCR and UCSD does not have rolling admissions. Sit back, relax and enjoy the Holidays.</p>
<p>I am not sure about UCSD specifically, but my dd received an email from the Dean of her potential College at a different UC with a strong recommendation for admission. Is it possible that all or some other UCs do this too? It is not an oficial email of acceptance though.</p>
<p>InfoQuestMom: My sons back to back for college; Fall 2013 and Fall 2014 both received an email from the Dean of their colleges about being recommended for admission at UCR. Last year no other UC’s sent this type of email. UCR was also the first to send acceptances starting Feb 1. For UCSD, I heard that the URM students that are accepted will get a personnel phone call about 1-2 weeks prior to the regularly accepted applicants email notification. It would be great to hear that they are doing acceptances early…</p>
