Some classical song... I can't figure out the name!

Alright, so the other day I was in my car listening to the radio and I heard this BEAUTIFUL classical song with a sweet solo cello. It was the most beautiful thing i've ever heard. I was moved.

I grabbed my pencil so I could download or find this song later...

I wrote the following:

1881? 1889? can't see

co nee jay

bach strauss

cello soloist

Does anyone know what the song is? I think the title is pronounced something like co nee jay, except I couldn't hear clearly. This is driving me nuts!

"Sonata in F major, Op. 6 (1883)," begun by Strauss in 1881?

hmm, I've no idea, but when I hear a great violin concerto on the radio, I memorize the tune and hum it to my teacher. (it's not that embarrassing). Usually, he knows which piece it is. Do you know who the cellist was?

don't worry, i posted in high school life and someone knew the song:

Kol Nidre by Max Bruch

So beautiful!

Bruch is indeed a great composer. His concerto #1 and 2 for violin, however much over played, remains a classic.
