some comfort for med people...

i realized...gpa is like HUGE for med school. as in, a 4.0 from a state university is better looking than a lower one from stanford, harvard, etc. unbelievable, right? but it's true. i heard it from a guy that used to be on a med school admissions committee.
so if i don't get into stanford...it's okay. i know it's practically impossible to get straight A's there, or even an exceptionally high gpa. i'll prob end up going to rice, and that's like a good school in prep for med.

yeah...i dunno why i'm sharing this with you guys. i'm helping myself more than i'm helping ya'll. hehe.

anyway, if i get in, that'd be SO FREAKIN AWESOME. but i'm just psyching myself up for a deferral. :)

Hehe, med schools loooove it when you aren't a sci major...

they do? why?

not necessarily. but i do hear that biochem is better than bio for getting into med school

thats what I've heard to. And GPA is good as long as you have a 3.5 or above. MCAT really matters too. Most of the good med schools don't look at you unless you have like a 33 or above and others 28.

thats cause med schools want REAL ppl.

Like super cool anthropologists....hahha
