Some Convenient Ways for SAT Registration???

Hey Guys...

I Was Hoping to Appear for SAT Subject Tests in October... Just Now I Tried Online Registration Through a Borrowed Standard Chartered DEBIT Card but College Board Isn't Accepting it... Error Says "Your Credit Card Cannot Be Processed" :-(

So I would Love to Hear about Some Convenient Ways for SAT Registration...

Also, if Someone has an Idea whether UBL Wiz Card / Standard Chartered CREDIT Card Works for SAT Registration or Not ???

BTW I Haven't Met Anyone Who Has Even Applied to International Universities And That's Exactly Why I am Unfamiliar with Such Online Registration Processes...

Hoping for Early Replies....

Debit card aint gonna work

6 days left for october sat registration . I also havent registered yet.

how are you guys preparing for sat? Any book suggestions? I’ve heard alot about ‘barron’s’ but their questions (physics, chemistry and maths) are easy. Are you guys doing any online prep?

@mtalhap YES YOU CAN REGISTER WITH A DEBIT CARD. I used to use a credit card for all of my online purchases and thought I couldn’t use a debit card but now I use it from things like paypal and amazon to all of my SAT II and ACT registrations.
Your card is just being declined by the bank. Call the bank and use the card again.

@pkteen Yup you were Right… I used another Standard Chartered Debit Card which, in its Owner’s words, “Was already Activated from the Bank for Online Purchases”… And it Worked like a Charm…

@Fizza777 I bought Barron’s Prep Book for Chemistry and Pretty Much Liked it ==> Detailed Review for Almost all Topics + Simple Explanations + 5 Practice Tests…

BTW any Tips for SAT Math Preparation ???

@mtalhap, yes I’ve got that too for both Chem and phy. But the questions are too easy, no? Or maybe our editions are different? I’ve got the 9th edition, which one is yours?
Well, for math level1, I’m doing from the sat 1 book (barron’s). There alot of questions, different techniques are explained about how to tackle questions and review of topics too. For level2, if you’re giving it, I’ve got an old edition of sat2 maths barron’s book from my brother and its got all these weird topics which are thoroughly explained with examples. And its got 7 practice tests.
But I was wondering, any online prep? The college board has got practice questions but I haven’t checked them out yet… Any other good website you might know of?

I called the hbl , askari and faisal bank’s helpline and they all said U NEED A CREDIT CARD FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION AND PURCHASES.

I have PR books for the prep of subject tests … maths is very easy. I can complete the prep of maths and physics in 4 days  … If the questions in the prep books are easy , dont worry , i ve asked a few friends who took subject tests last year and they all say that these tests are no big deal . So dont think that questions in these books are unrealistic .
Cheers

Debit cards wont be accepted. I tried with my dads meezan debit, didnt work. Then i user my uncles ubl credit card. That worked.

@BHhazy. Yeah my friends has that. Is that the ‘official sat book’? How are the questions in it like? Haha, well that’s good.
And I don’t think math level2 will be easy there are certain topics which we haven’t covered in a levels… Just saying. :I

^further math pretty mucg covers it. I did leave questions on my diag due to not understanding the terminology. Make sure u straighten that out. Like a question asked for the positive zero. Turns out that is the positive x int.

I have princeton review books (PR)
Its strange that u guys havent covered level ll topics in your a levels course books . I ve just completed my 1st yr (fsc part 1) and i went through three-fourth of the topics and drills in PR maths level ll in 8 hrs and they were easy

I can do well on the maths lvl ll , phy and chem subject tests but thats another thing that i am not gonna take these tests XD:D

Well I didn’t take further maths in a levels.
I was talking about some topics, not all of them. Like polynomial equations. That we didn’t study in as much in detail. But I’m pretty confident that iA I’ll do good. Physics, Chem and math level1 isn’t difficult in the books which seems rather too good to be true.

@Fizza777 Ummm… Barron’s Chemistry Prep Book Has Got Much Nicer Reviews on Amazon so Maybe the Questions are Easy but Efficient enough to Help us Achieve a Pretty Good Score… In Fact, I am Currently Using Princeton Review’s Mathematics Prep Book so that I May Get a Distinct Taste for SAT Prep Books from Each Publisher… And Yeah you Were Asking About Online Preperation… I have Heard a Lot about “MajorTests.Com SAT Preparation” and, on the other Hand, you Can Download Plenty of Pirated SAT Practice Softwares Online… Online Practice Tests are Very Efficient in the Sense that you Can Verify your Answers Almost Instantly… I Plan to Use Them almost 3-4 days before SAT Test Date when I Would Have Completed Thorough Review of Topics…

okay thanks :)

Don’t Mention… I’m New At CollegeConfidential Forums… But Frankly Speaking, I Love the Atmosphere Here and Specifically the Fact that Peers Here are Enthusiastic Enough To Motivate and Help Each Other About College Admissions…

@everyone My UNFCU card definitely works…

Ah same here, I decided to join the community last month after I went through some of the forums here :)
