<p>So I just recently found out that my family and I need to go out of country for some 2-3 weeks and it can only be in August. But I really don't want to cut it close to Berkeley dates because well I'm afraid of missing something.</p>
<p>I know that classes start on Aug 28 and there's an orientation thing on 23. But when is exactly the move-in day? And when do we know our roommate assignment? And lastly is there any important dates in Early/mid-august that I cannot miss?</p>

<p>Move-in is usually the first day of Welcome Week, which I think is August 21st this year? I can be wrong, though. You find out your room/roommate assignment sometime in July/August, I forgot.</p>
