Some decisions out!

I don’t think they have released any new decisions. I also wonder if they are only releasing acceptances. I haven’t heard anyone being declined
neverXclarity how did you determine they are going alphabetically by major and school?

yankeesfanatic it bothers me too. My last name begins with a “B” and I have not heard yet. I think they should have responded by receipt of application. If I remember correctly the rooming preference is by the date you submit your deposit so if they are releasing alphabetically or by school/major that would seem unfair to me. Especially if there are weeks in between decisions.

I’ve concluded it’s not based on name, location, stats, major, or when you handed your app in. Otherwise I would have heard already.

It’s just random I guess.

It seems like almost everyone who heard was in engineering or had a major with a starting letter before D. Maybe it’s just a coincidence?

^I’m both yet I haven’t gotten my decision yet.

Last week’s decisions went out on Wednesday if I remember correctly…maybe it’s an every-Wednesday thing. Or maybe we’re all freaking out for no reason and we’re all going to have to wait until March :P

^ Ya maybe.

And I applied for engineering at the start of December and my last name begins with a D.
Also my stats are in the top 25% for Drexel - and I haven’t yet received a decision.

It has got to be random processing of applications!!
Or they might have rejected/(internally deferred) me - and so I’ll get to know only later!!

Does this have anything to do with when you submitted your application? My app and transcripts were in by early November for regular decision for engineering - I haven’t heard anything yet.

It’s sounds like it is all Honor’s College acceptances and scholarship dollars…
I’m Engineering Undecided, applied in November with VIP application and still waiting as well.
From MA

I guess those who didn’t get a decision(despite applying early) are probably not getting into Honors college and not with lot of scholarship $$ anyway!!

I haven’t found out either, I’m a Architecture Applicant. Anyone accepted into this major?

Sent from my SGH-I897 using CC

“Critical Application Maintenance” in the morning on Feb. 3rd~

^ Where did you read this?

Sent from my SGH-I897 using CC

It’s on the discover drexel homepage before you log in

I was accepted last week to the Accelerated BS/MS ChemE program, honors college, and 20,000 scholarship. My last name is Page.

No school would accept people alphabetically. It is plausible that it was based on the major (maybe only certain colleges sent out acceptance letters this early).

I wouldn’t be worrying guys, I’m sure that you will all get your letter within the next week or two.

Im really nervous now that I havent heard anything back yet. Drexel was my number one school and I can only go there if they give me some scholarship money. Now I’m really worried.

^ My son applied and was accepted to Stony Brook, which also releases rolling admissions after 1/15. They do in in 2 week batches right up until April 1 and their admission rep says that the batches are basically random.

My son has also applied to Drexel and has not heard back. With an ACT of 34 and a WGPA of 3.97, I would be surprised if he does not get accepted or gets no scholarship offer.

In short, Drexel’s process is probably just as random. If you plugged your stats into their scholarship calculator and it calculated a non-zero merit scholarship, I wouldn’t be worried if I was you.

College of New Jersey also releases theirs randomly, I recently found out. Thanks for the tip about the calculator, it was helpful to use it to estimate scholarship money!

My daughter got hers last week $ 23,500 AJ Drexel scholarship, honors college, chemical engineering. SAT 2190 (1430/1600 )ACT 31 GPA 4.0 UW /4.67 W, no ranking top 5% of 275… NJ Catholic HS .

does anyone know if drexel will look at SAT subject test scores?
