Thank you in advance

D. Not idiomatically correct. Should be “for being”.

D. Should be “any other tool”.

D. “they” is ambiguous as it is not referring to anything.

C. It is the only one that uses the noun “rapidity”, which is somewhat parallel to the first sentence.

C. It is the only that subordinates the second clause.

Won’t load for me. Maybe someone else can help with that one.

A. The sentence is talking about the difficulty that house wrens have with finding nesting places, not “in” nesting places. So, it is illogical to say “in”.

C. It is the only one that connects the ideas in a complete sentence way, without creating a comma splice.

I can tell these aren’t collegeboard questions by the way some of them are worded. For example, if it was collegeboard, they would have an answer choice for number 4 with a perfectly parallel structure.

D - the proper idiom is “condemn as”

D - it should be “any other tool”

D - “they” is ambiguous

C - only choice that preserves parallelism

C - fixes the run on sentence

link is broken

A - “in” should be “about”

C - fixes lack of parallelism

Concur with the rest, though #2 confused me.

6 is weird too but I think it’s E because I feel like “which” is used inappropriately and it’s a number 3 question, which suggests that it shouldn’t be very complex. Was debating between E and A.

Thank you guys for explanations,

6 is E - I have the answers. But shouldn’t we use commas before and after therefore?

it is college board questions from 2005 - 2006 SATS
I can even tell you the codes of the papers

Most of them are from March 2005 TEST ( coded AEOZ )

Thank you for answers

I was wondering that too but in answer choice A the sentence becomes ambiguous, and I had seen therefore be used without commas.

To take from Sherlock Holmes, “when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.” I feel a little corny comparing the SAT to a detective case.

thank you a lot :)
