Some ED numbers are in...

yes, I got those figures from the Williams Record article. Thanks for the correction...

Johnwesley: How do you know the #s in the Williams article are incorrect? Which are the correct figures for Tufts, Yale, and Amherst?

I can only attest to the Wesleyan numbers which I cite [http://www.wesleyanargus.com/article...rticle_id=4358][/url]. And of course, the Williams numbers because I just read the article. :)

EDIT: didn't see johnwesley's post:)

unless I'm reading this wrong, Wesleyan ED was actually up slightly:

364 apps last year, 378 this year

Do you know the numbers for Emory?

Do you know the stats for Bowdoin?

what about Duke?

Do you know about Notre dame?
Thanks, by the way, interesting thread!

U of Chicago jumped up a few spots in the US News rankings and now it's one of the few whose early applications jumped. Bandwagon jumpers?

Caroline89 - here is a link for Bowdoin admission stats through class of 2010- does not seem to separate ED

UVa--- up 4.3%, acceptance rate = 40.4% vs 41.2% last year

Can anyone give me the stats of REED college?????????

What about Oberlin?

A lot of schools like REED have 2 ED options therefore their numbers wont be released yet.

bump......

numbers for Northwestern??

Northwestern: up 7%

Northwestern's jumps is not surprising; they started accepting common application this year. The "why Northwestern" and short statements are still annoying to some but overall, the application is definitely easier than before.

With 5% jump for Stanford, it's ED pool is probably the most competitive in the nation this year. One of my best friends teaches at a SAT school here and last year, no one got into Stanford while one got into Harvard and couple got into Yale.
