I just submitted BC’s Supplement… is that all it is? No essays no questions? I’m just really surprised that I didn’t have to do supp essays for BC… I didn’t miss anything did i?

Can I retake SAT IIs in Jan and send it to BC?

If I am not intending to major in Studio Arts, can I still send BC art slides??

Yes, the supplement is that simple. No extra essays or anything.

For your other two questions, you should either consult BC's website (bc.edu) or call the admissions office. They seem like pretty straightforward questions to me, so I'm sure they wouldn't mind answering them.

i believe you should be able to take SAT 2s in january....i did a similar thing when i applied early(i took them november 6th, deadline was november 1st)....they were fine with it. I would advise though that you write a letter, as i was informed to explaining that you are planing to take xyz tests on w/e date and that you will submit them...i not only used it to inform them but it also is a good way to show interest in the school

ok great! thanks!!!

I'm pretty sure I read that Dec is the last time RD applicants can take the SAT.
My SAT 2s really need improvement... do you think I should still send my Jan scores to BC anyway?

And are SAT 2s very important for admissions at BC?

On BC's website it says:
"Applicants are required to take all standardized examinations no later than the December administration date of their senior year. It is the responsibility of each applicant to have test scores sent directly to Boston College from the College Entrance Examination Board or the American College Testing Program by January 3, 2005. All standardized tests are used for evaluation in the admission process."

Are SAT 2s really important in admissions.. My Nov SAT 2 scores are pretty bad, I want to improve them in Jan... :/ Should I still report Jan scores to BC?

And it says " OPTIONAL CREDENTIALS

A Fine Arts Faculty Committee is available to review portfolios of five to eight slides of artwork submitted by applicants to the Studio Art major only."

In the BC supp they ask you to declare a major, so I said English....But what if I want to change.. and what if I want to change to a Art major.. do I still send this art portfolio? (However, the deadline was apparantly Dec. 1st so I missed it).....

again i say you write the letter sstating that you plan to retake SAT 2s and then send them wehen you get them...it wont hurt you and establishes contact. Worst case scenario, they dont consider them, best they see the new scores say "wow this kid wants in" and accept you
