I'll be a senior this year and decided I want to study geology after I graduate. I've heard Caltech is good. But I'm on my own to pay for college, so $30000 + a year won't cut it. And I'm not a straight A kid, so ivies are out. I prefer to go somewhere in the western US or Canada, but for the time being I'm open to everywhere.
Here's my stats:

GPA: 3.2
ACT Composite 24 - I'm retaking in the fall, actually plan on studying...
Reading 26
English 23
Science 25
Math 22

AP Human Geo (pretty much independent study) 3 yuck
Plan on taking AP English, Environmental Science as independent, and German.
Ecs: Student Council, Ski Club, Diversity Club, exchange student

I know it looks bad, but it is what it is. Any suggestions as to classes I should take this year?
