Some help with World History SAT II?

Im going to take it this June, and im studying slowly, Im only on the Roman Empire now.

But my question is, what types of questions do they ask?

Do they ask specific things about one place?
General things about one civilization?
Specific things comparing different civilizations?
General things comparing different civilizations?
What are some sample questions?

I just want to know what the hell i gotta do to get an 800

I took the SAT II world history last June and scored a 730 without really studying, but then again I adore history. I am retaking it again in June because I know I can score an 800 with a little more studying. Anway, yes they do ask specific questions on specific civilizations etc. Also, the test does not mainly focus on Europe. I forgot what the breakdown is but its on the collegeboard website. Definitely know Asia and Africa. I also recommend that you buy the guides put out by collegeboard, I think its like U.S. and World combined. As far as prepbooks, I recommend Barrons, it will almost overprepare you but its still really good. Also, don't worry if you aren't doing to well on the pratice tests because I often found the pratice tests to be harder than the actual exam. I would also recommend that you speed up your studying. Hope I helped :)

If the questions from now and 2005 are about the same level, ill get an 800 for sure. I really like the pace im studying at, but, its too much for me. Im learning a whole lot, but im spending like an hour or two a day. I dont wanna do that. Im stressing myself out, and id rather do better on my other AP.

I think im going to take the test in december. That way, i can go at a slower pace than im at now, and really learn the information. Its all very useful, and very interesting. That way, i can focus more on getting a 4.0 this quarter, starting my web design company, photography, and my AP. During the summer Ill really hit the sat, sat II, and my other Aps... i think it makes more sense.

I think if i take it in december, ill definitely get an 800

But, will it look better if i take it as a sophmore???

Also, if you retake it... will it nullify the previous test score or no? Are you just trying to prove to colleges you know your world history?

Also, because you have already taken the test... do they do a lot of comparing? Do they say like, what made the roman republic last longer than blah? or Which one of these is not blah? civ A civ B civ C civ D civ E

I doesn't matter when you take it. Most colleges if you retake a test they will take the higher score, its only bad if you like take it 3x. Lets say I was having a really bad day and scored a 630 or so, I retake the test and get an 800, therefore, the colleges know that the 630 was not what I am capable of. They often do compare civilizations in regards to time periods. I also recommend that you study maps, because the map questions at least for me were difficult because they were often very vague. I recommend that you take the test in December.

Yeah... i rather take it once and get an 800, and completely know what im doing on the test. Thanks
