Some Hope

I just looked at the 09 EA thread and added up all the people who were accepted and deferred.

There were 23 accepted and 18 deferred.

So thats 56% acceptence and 44% deferrence for CC.

Granted this is very biased and my ap stats teacher would not approve... but...... we need some hope!

hello 44% i'm cujoe169

Don't be so pessimistic! There could be a fat envelope in the mail with your name on it!

have you seen my stats? or my essay? or the fact that i didn't do either of the optional ones because i'm an idiot? :(

No, but I didn't answer the optional questions either and you don't see me freaking out. Chillax.

It won't be a very fat envelope ;-), just a larger one.

cujoe169:
You don't HAVE TO submit the optional essays. Anyway, you're stats can't be worse than mine (mine are record low!). What's your essay like?

Actually, I was rethinking Ben's comparison of the application to a table: it can stand with three legs. I guess though it can stand, when the pressure increases it will surely fall :-(. With the decrease in admissions rate, every last score can make a difference. Seems like I'm in the same situation as you're in. I have excellent (well above average) extracurriculars, but really bad SAT I scores. Good luck to all of us!

huh? oh my essay was 900 words, cut to 500 words, so you can imagine what it reads like, a bit abrupt... hamster, i'm just a bit more paranoid than usual :( also, my ec's really don't show any clear direction, but i have leadership in almost all of them

freaks out

yeah, I am really nervous. : </p>
