<p>It does not help on getting into Georgia. That is straight from the horse's mouth (the admissions representative). I just thought I would pass this info onto those who are applying to UGA.</p>
<p>Hmm...that really does not seem likely. Every state-supported university gives preference to in-state applicants because taxpapers in that state help fund the university. This is even true for elite publics like Michigan and Virginia.</p>
<p>We asked why there was no preference, and they said that it was because there are not enough applicants from out-of-state to make a difference.</p>
